Départ parking « salle des fêtes » Vaïssac

1. Depuis la mairie de Vaïssac prendre la rue longeant l'église par la gauche. A 350m suivre le chemin d'exploitation sur la droite, traverser le ruisseau « Le Longue-Aygues » et remonter le versant jusqu'au lieu dit « Côte Blanche ». De retour sur la route goudronnée tourner à droite puis encore une fois à droite. A 200m, à l'intersection,tourner à gauche sur la VC1 en direction de Montricoux. Continuer tout droit sur 400m.

2. Au lieu dit « Sabatiès » prendre la route sur la gauche puis continuer tout droit par le chemin d'exploitation après les habitations. Traverser les champs, le petit bois et descendre au lieu dit « Marchats » puis rejoindre la route de Revel (D65).

3. Tourner à droite et longer la route sur 50m puis suivre la direction « Castellas » sur la gauche. A hauteur de la ferme, à 350m, poursuivre par le chemin enherbé et descendre dans la vallée. Traverser le ruisseau de Cabertat à 150m et rejoindre la route un peu plus loin. Suivre la route sur la gauche pendant à peine 50m puis prendre le chemin d'exploitation sur la droite pour atteindre le lieu dit « Rouch » à 700m.

4. A Rouch ne pas traverser le corps de ferme mais predre la route sur la droite. A 100m tourner à gauche et remonter le VC13 sur 700m jusqu'au lieu dit « Rimbal ». A 500m sur la droite se situe le camping à la ferme « Aicisempla » ou bien encore le domaine viticole de Revel. Traverser la route et continuer tout droit sur le chemin en face pour descendre vers le lac du Gouyre situé à 500m. Arrivé sur le bord u lac suivre à droite le chemin longeant le lac pendant 1 km puis remonter sur la droite par le chemin longeant le bois et s'éloignant du lac. Continuer tout droit sur la route, longer les vignes.

5. A l'intersection avec la RD65 prendre à droite sur 150m puis emprunter la route montant au lieu dit « Le Breil Haut » sur la gauche.

6. Milieu de randonnée au lieu dit « Le Breil Haut ». A l'intersection suivante tourner à droite puis à 150m emprunter le chemin sur la gauche qui monte à travers bois. Continuer tout droit pendant 850m.

7. Prendre le chemin de crête sur la droite, à la perpendiculaire de la route, pour traverser le bois. A 650m, à la patte d'oie, prendre le chemin du milieu. Continuer sur ce chemin jusqu'à arriver sur la route de Montricoux à 1,3km. Vous traversez bois, champs et vignes. A l'intersection avec la route prendre à gauche. Puis tourner sur la droite à 500m, direction « Côte Blanche », pour rejoindre le chemin emprunté au départ et descendre au village de Vaïssac, situé à 1,3km.

Randonnée de 12,9 km, dénivelé positif 219m et dénivelé négatif 134m, difficulté moyenne. Bonnes chaussures et bâtons conseillés.

1. From la mairie de Vaïssac, take the road along the church on the left. After 350m, follow the farm track on the right, cross the "Le Longue-Aygues" stream, and climb the slope to the place called "Côte Blanche." Back on the paved road, turn right, then right again. After 200m, at the intersection, turn left onto the VC1 towards Montricoux. Continue straight for 400m.

2. At the place called "Sabatiès," take the road on the left, then continue straight along the farm track past the houses. Cross the fields and the small wood, and descend to the place called "Marchats," then join the road to Revel (D65).

3. Turn right and follow the road for 50m, then follow the direction "Castellas" on the left. At the farm, 350m away, continue along the grassy path and descend into the valley. Cross the Cabertat stream 150m away and join the road a little further. Follow the road on the left for just 50m, then take the farm track on the right to reach the place called "Rouch" 700m away.

4. At Rouch, do not cross the farmhouse but take the road on the right. After 100m, turn left and go up the VC13 for 700m to the place called "Rimbal." On the right, 500m further, is the "Aicisempla" farm campsite or the Revel wine estate. Cross the road and continue straight ahead on the path opposite to descend to Lake Gouyre, 500m away. Once you reach the lakeside, follow the path on the right along the lake for 1 km, then go back up to the right along the path along the woods, leading away from the lake. Continue straight on the road, following the vineyards.

5. At the intersection with the RD65, turn right for 150 m, then take the road leading up to "Le Breil Haut" on the left.

6. Midpoint of the hike at "Le Breil Haut." At the next intersection, turn right, then after 150 m, take the path on the left that climbs through the woods. Continue straight for 850 m.

7. Take the ridge path on the right, perpendicular to the road, to cross the woods. After 650 m, at the junction, take the middle path. Continue on this path until you reach the Montricoux road, 1.3 km away. You will cross woods, fields, and vineyards. At the intersection with the road, turn left. Then turn right after 500m, towards "Côte Blanche," to rejoin the path you started on and descend to the village of Vaïssac, located 1.3km away.

This 12.9km hike features an elevation gain of 219m and a loss of 134m. It's moderately difficult. Sturdy footwear and poles are recommended.
